About Our Name and Organization
We are an all-volunteer organization of USA veterans of WWII, their spouses and descendants. The 314th Infantry Regiment was under the 79th Division of the US Army during WWII. It was a spearhead division led by General George Paton, one of the foremost fighting generals of WWII. Our veterans never occuppied land until the war was over. Instead, they invaded enemy held land, liberated it, turned it over to other US Army divisions, then moved on pursuing the enemy on the very front of the front lines.
Membership is open to anyone with an interest in our organization. Our official name, 314th Infantry Regiment Association of WWII, Incoporated, places our focus on WWII veterans. Yet we welcome anyone with an interest in the 314th to become members.
