The 2024 Joint Reunion of the 79th Infantry Division WWII, October 17-20

Celebrating the 80th Anniversary Year of D-Day!!

The 315th Regiment Association is proud to be this year’s host for the 4th annual 79th Infantry Division WWII
joint reunion. The Joint reunions are sponsored annually by the 314th and 315th Regiment Associations. The
following are some details and information you should know before completing the attached form.
➢ The reunion will be held at the Courtyard Marriott 610 Wells Road, Orange Park, FL 32073 (near
Jacksonville, FL)
➢ You must reserve your room(s directly with the Marriott using the following link and code:
www.marriott.com Rate Code REGREGK or you may call the Marriott (904-854-1500) and use the code
➢ Room rate is $129 which includes breakfast all three mornings—Friday, Saturday, Sunday
➢ No parking fees
➢ This room rate will expire on September 10, 2024.
➢ You may cancel reservation 48 hrs. prior to arrival.
➢ Thursday, October 17 will be room check in and registration
➢ Friday, October 18 we will be heading to nearby Camp Blanding at Starke, FL for a tour of the museum
situated outside the camp and then enjoying lunch on the base and having a tour by bus. We will have
a memorial service at the base chapel. Camp Blanding is where many 79th Infantry Division soldiers had
training before heading overseas. That evening dinner and a program will be provided at the hotel.
➢ Saturday, October 19 we will depart by bus to St. Augustine, the oldest city in the U.S., where we will
have a tour of the Castillo de San Marcos. After that everyone will have free time for lunch and
exploring the city on your own. There are many historical things to see and do in St. Augustine! We
will have a convenient meeting place for the bus back to the hotel. Dinner and a program will again be
provided at the hotel.
➢ Our registration fee covers the following events:
o Bus transportation to Camp Blanding and lunch on the base
o Dinner both Friday and Saturday nights at the hotel (cash bar each night)
o Bus transportation to St. Augustine and admission to the Castillo de San Marcos
o Banquet room fee
o Miscellaneous expenses such as name tags, printing of posters, etc.
➢ We will have a 50/50 drawing Friday evening and a raffle on Saturday evening—please bring an item/s
for the raffle.
➢ Registration and payment are due by September 10, 2024. We encourage early registration and
room reservations!
➢ The 315th is hosting this year’s reunion. For further information, please check the 314th, 315th and 79th
Division Facebook pages and respective newsletters.
The 315th association will have a registration table Thursday evening near the lobby and we ask that you check
in with us when you check in at the Marriott. If you are not arriving Thursday evening, we ask that you
indicate on the registration form under Special Notes what time you think you will be arriving. There will be a
hospitality room/space for our use which will include memorabilia, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.
